Now, what's all this about you refusing to celebrate your own birthday? And the Lady Amaeyra's, as well, tsk. We really must talk about this, my lord, I fear that you're making a terrible mistake.

This is so impossible!

How are we supposed to find one girl in this city when we know exactly two things about her? She's married, and her name is Leanne. Oh, and she used to work for a shady Kanemorian, sure, I bet she just loves to talk about that, doesn't downplay that at all. Yep.

Kim is depending on us to manage this. And I can't even depend on Nathan, here, he's more worried about suddenly realizing his brother isn't actually an ogre! Or, well, not completely one, at least. I'm weirded out, too, believe me, but ughhhh. They'll do whatever they decide to do, and at the end of the day, we still have this slimy jerk running some kind of shady operation on the docks! If we could just find this stupid girl, maybe we could make a difference ...

This is so stressful. How do I keep getting involved in things like this?

More Dragonsdamned rebels.

Day after day after Dragonsdamned day it's the same thing. Burned villages, messages left on postboards of the hamlets that still stand, homeless refugees pouring into Fryda. I don't even know what they want from us. Oh, sure, everybody knows what they want, all that rot about Sarrca and vultures circling over Korin's corpse, but I don't know what they want from us. We're not Sarrca! The people they're killing aren't Sarrca either! The only way they could be further from Sarrca is if they went to the East where their fucking savior house is supposed to be!

I wish they would just go up against Sarrca. Then maybe they'd get themselves killed and the rest of us wouldn't have to deal with them anymore.

I can't do this. Dragons, I can't do this, I just can't. She needs to calm down, she won't listen to me, I've only ever -- assisted this sort of thing, before, I only know how it's supposed to go, not --

She must have a midwife, can you maybe go to the Houses, someone is always there. Tell them I sent you or something, just get someone.

Your sister found herself a new boy yet? She's been pretty quick the last couple times, I figured she'd be all hooked up and out until midnight all over again by now. What's this one like?

I'm just wondering how long it's gonna be before she starts dating a rat dressed up in nice clothes, that's all.

Ah ... well.

I suppose that's some more information for you, Uncle ... if nothing else.

I ... ah, we shouldn't attempt to move her, or touch her. She fell over like she did the moment she touched Sir Elden, and so I ... suppose it's contagious, so to speak ... we'll need to be careful to avoid them altogether ...

... Dragons. How are we ever going to ... what if ...?

And ... and how did she even find out they were here?

[Filter: People who know about this new puzzle]

Okay, I think I got a better sense of what's going on in there. I only stayed for as long as I had to ... then I left.

Okay, I should probably just ... warn you all before you go in there, Andrew's dream is about me and that is not actually me or what I'm really like or what I'd actually do. And ... yeah. Please don't ... I don't know. It's just weird and I feel better just saying it like that and getting it over with.

I think that the dream or illusion or whatever it is draws us into it. Andrew's dream is in Floran, and he was walking down a street with ... um, with me, and it was in a market. And I found myself holding a bushel of apples and wearing a spring Hanalan peasant dress, standing with some people. When I ignored them, they reacted to that, so I think the whole dream will ... well, react. To whatever we do.

I ... didn't try to talk with Andrew, though. I wasn't sure what to say.

I guess we just have to keep trying to go in and out until someone gets through to them? I don't know if any of that helped at all.

... I'm actually ...

I'm actually really kind of upset about this. I admit it, I am. I really am. Not angry, exactly, but I feel ...

Violated, I suppose. No, definitely that. I feel violated. He's dreamed up a perfect world where I'm the little wife he's always dreamed of and it makes me stomach sick. That's not me. I ...

I hate the thought of anybody else going in there and seeing me like that!

Oh, Dragons ...

[Filter: Franelcrew]

... hello. Everyone thought ... I should be the one to explain this, because I understand what's happening the best.

Nessa, Jonathan, Andrew, Gebann, and Elden have become the next puzzle. They're attached to artifacts made of pure aurae. I've been doing ... tests, I suppose you'd call them, on the artifacts. I think I've caught a glimpse of the spell that's being used, but ... I'm not entirely sure. Artifacts aren't my area of expertise ... and these ones are very powerful and very old.

The aurae is being forced to resonate with their conciousness, and it's putting them into a sort of ... magically induced coma. The magic will sustain their bodies and ensure no harm is done to them, so we don't need to fear starvation or anything else, like the ... the maze, Loki. It's not that sort of puzzle. Instead, it's all ... abstract. Internalized.

Ah, how do I explain this ... the magic is beyond even me, but I do understand the principles. They're very, very old ... and very Kilian, so please, don't repeat it.

Our minds ... not our brains, our minds ... or souls, I suppose you could say ... are a sort of magic. And also a sort of place. A magical realm. And those trapped are caught in one specific corner of that realm. They're writing their own illusion, but it's not exactly an illusion, and it's not exactly of their own making. The magic of the artifacts is forcing the magic of their souls to write this prison out of their own memories. And until they get free, we can't move onto the next puzzle. They could get free at any time if they willed themselves to come back.

I don't understand the rest at all. I won't even try to explain it. It seems that we can enter the prisons by touching the person trapped in them. We become a part of the story and stay until we leave or they make us leave. Everyone thinks that we need to convince the people trapped to will themselves out.

... I'm sorry. This is very confusing, and I don't know some of the terms in Trade, so I used the next best thing. Are there any questions? I can answer some ... though ... though I do want to try to go inside. I want to talk to Nessa, and Jon, and ... and ...

Um, did anyone else see that? I'm not sure what he saw in there, but Dagda just ... woke back up out of Gebann's dream thing and walked out of here without saying a word. I tried to ask him what he saw, but he just ignored me.

... Should I try it? I know Gebann pretty well, I think. And if Dagda won't even talk about it -- it's not like we want to be wasting time. Does anyone mind if I go ahead and ...?

We are going to coordinate costumes and there is not a thing you can do about it! And all you're doing by burying yourself in those boring meetings is ensuring that I will pick the most unflattering color for you! I'll make your costume without even consulting you, I swear I will. You'll wear whatever I come up with and like it! How would you like to be a pegasus? Hmmmm? I'll be a pegasus knight, and you can be my winged beast, it certainly suits the way you've been acting!!

I don't have time for this!

I hope everyone else is hard at work on their costumes! Remember, the mask has to cover your entire face! The entire point is that no one knows who you are, you all get it, right?

I could use some help arranging a few things, by the way, if anyone would like to endear themselves to their future queen forever~
