We're making very good time! A lot of the boys don't mind working a little bit harder if it means we're going to get there sooner. The other ones, well, they can either keep up with the food supply, or they're not going to be eating. No one's decided to get suicidal so far, so the incentive's working.

Other things to report: We've been out of the mountains for awhile, and I'm really starting to miss them. I forgot how fucking flat it is out here. That's it. That's all I've got.

Allison, you won't believe what June just told me. I...I can still hardly believe it myself. Some man forced himself on a Korin refugee woman the other night, she was on call when it happened...

I tried and tried to tell Lady Bunny that the flowers were just how Lady Chloe wanted them to be but she won't listen! She just keeps on brushing me off like, and telling me there's plenty of other things I can go look after.

But the thing is that Lady Chloe put me in charge of making sure these all worked out just how she wanted, and I don't get why Lady Bunny won't listen to me!

It just ain't right!! It ain't right at all!!

Oh dear, I hope no one else is hearing this commotion. It appears as though issues surrounding the flowers are far from being settled. Bunny can be quite insistent, at times such as these, and I have a feeling Lady Chloe is the same.

Well, I'm sure everything will work out. There isn't much time left until the ceremony begins, after all.

I can't avoid everything forever. The longer I stay away, the more people will talk about what happened. And the harder it will be to get any respect at all.

Tell myself I am confident and I will be confident. Act the part and you become it.

And start with baby steps.

You shouldn't have dragged me out of there!! He needed to hear it, and you know he did!!!! If we don't make Papa understand it now, he's never going to and you know it!!!! You have to let me back in there right now because if you don't, I'll --

You have to!! He's the one who refused to see that anything was ever wrong!! And he has to see reason for once!!!

Chloe, if you are reading, I feel that I should tell you that you are starting to worry a good many people.

If anyone has seen her, please say so. If she misses the cue, mother -- Fartgus will --

It's best not to think of it. Best not to let that happen. The last I've heard is some serving girl insisting she saw Chloe storm off after her argument with my mother, to who knows where.

What on earth is going on over there?

First I hear Philip took Amelie to the star shower. Then I hear he's no longer courting the princess! And I think to myself, all of our problems are solved for the moment! And then I hear these nasty rumors circling about both Lydia and Jason, and while I know Lyddie well enough to know they can't possibly be grounded in reality, the way she's been acting at court still gives me pause!

So, I thought, surely Josiah can help me clear up what's going on! I'm sure he can tell me what the problem is, and what I ought to be believing! And so, here I am, eager for news. And I hope that you'll give it, honestly.

Oh, it's all been so busy I don't even know where to start!

Ever since my family arrived in Temair, we've been spending most every day together! They want to hear all about everything, all about Lord Nicolas and how he proposed and ohhh it's all so wonderful and everyone's so happy for me! And there's been so much to take care of and we've been spending so much time together that I've just fallen into bed exhausted every day!

I can't wait for the celebrations on Saturday ... Oh, it's been so long since we've all been together for them! It's going to be absolutely wonderful!

Er, I mean, I'm sure I could have figured it out eventually, but, well ... Good to have you helping us!

You're on the roof, aren't you?

They've combed the castle fairly thoroughly, now, from what I understand. But there aren't any horses missing from the stable, and no one actually believes you simply fled the gates on foot with no one noticing, that's idiotic. So to everyone else, it's a problem with no solution, and you should see the way Lady Bunny is near to tearing out her own hair, I imagine you'd find it quite cathartic!

Was it really an argument over flowers that drove you to this, dearest? I don't want to criticise, but it seems a strange point to choose to break yourself over, hm?

I'd climb up there to join you, if I had any idea where to start. But I can imagine you there, nestled between the crenellations, just like you used to when you were just a little girl, and Constance had said something terribly cruel. Should I start combing the tower tops for you, then? I can, if you like, but you'll feel just awful if I slip and fall and break my poor old back. I don't know Lireth's walls anywhere near as well as Rowan's, I'm afraid.
