Oh, my...you weren't kidding about this gossip! I'm glad I waited until Colin and I came back...it really wouldn't have had the same impact over the journals. The Man in the Iron Mask's story taking place in our very own Court, how fascinating. And it seems every musician in Court has written a ballad of some sort about it. I'd try my hand at one myself, but I'm sure all the best ballads have already been written~

[there are a lot of false starts here, crossed out. The page is a bit damp.]

We buried Jeff's ashes yesterday. Right beside Grandma.

He's really gone now. I mean, we've known he's really gone for a long time, but now that we've buried him...

I've tried my best not to think about it but I cannot help myself. I wonder if he's left by now, if he's on his way, if he could show up any time now. And the only way to finally know would be to ask. The Princess has been so helpful, through all of it ...

It cannot hurt. I hope.

I wondered if you might have a moment, Your Highness.

Hello, Lady Eliza. I wondered if you could spare a moment to hear a proposal I have for you.

Ah, my apologies for not writing about this earlier, but when one is travelling with a gaggle of young children, why, there is hardly a moment to breathe. Yes, all of us are making our way to Lireth now, and Dragons willing, we will be there in time for the wedding~ I'm certain the journey will prove to be quite safe. Whether the children will behave themselves is another matter entirely. This will be the longest Aaron has travelled, after all. At least for now, he is much too excited by the seeing everything move around him. I don't think he even realises that he won't see home for a few months. Perhaps he won't even miss it~

I am glad that everyone enjoyed themselves so immensely at the ball. We have not had so many people in attendance for quite some time. Of course, this time there were many occasions to celebrate. Everyone is so glad to see Hasten, and to wish Fartgus and Chloe well before the wedding, and to welcome Lady Gloria, of course. It was wonderful to see Mother so happy during the ball. And now, she will be very much focused on the wedding. It is only a month away now ...
