Don't think you have me figured out so easily. It could not be more obvious that you are intentionally trying to catch me in my lies. Perhaps you are less dimwitted than I give you credit for. I do not know how you figured it out, but it is no matter. No one cares about a little white lie to get some time to myself. It is clear you have no idea what it was that I was truly doing.

The convent is getting impatient at my long absence. I hope my last letter will buy me enough time to see Hilary and Cameryn again. I would have liked to wait until I had talked to them and they could see Father for themselves before making my move, but this is just as well. All the arrangements can be made, and if they and Mother decide that it is not the correct course of action, then we may simply cancel my request. Perhaps by then I will have found something more concrete in Phelan's notes. I have my suspicions, but not enough to convince anyone of import. At least they are finally in proper order, and will be easier to follow now.

I know I promised you that I would make it up to you for missing our outing, Eudora, and I do apologize it has taken me so long to free up some time again. Mother is so demanding of my time, as if I could leave any minute and she will not see me again for months. How does tomorrow evening sound? I would love to go to a nice cafe and then spend the evening shopping.

What are you supposed to do on dates? I went to that cafe that Matthew recommended with Dairanne on my birthday and the cafe was great, but it was really awkward and neither of us talked very much. I felt like I was doing something wrong. I don't think she had a good time at all.

I'm aware this will be an ... odd-sounding request.

It's been far too long since I've been home, I'm afraid, and my memory for folktales is not what it used to be. That said, we've encountered some ... odd ... things up here, and any information that anyone could share would be appreciated, especially considering none of us have the slightest idea on where to even begin.

Dragons, how do I even ask this.

Are there stories of the waking and walking dead, that you know of? Particularly any that have to do with the moons. I've been racking my brain for the last several weeks and come up with nothing. I'm afraid I've just ... been away from home to long to be of any real help in this matter.

Anything you can offer would be welcome. No matter how absurd it sounds. Believe me, no matter how ridiculous it seems, there's always the chance it could be what we're dealing with.
